Daltons & Syngenta Partnership

Exciting news in the nursery industry; Daltons and Syngenta have officially formed a partnership beginning 1st March 2023.

This new partnership will see future investments – specifically for the nursery industry – in a whole range of plant protection products including fungicides, insecticides, herbicides and biologicals. Meaning that New Zealand Nurseries will gain access to some of the latest global technologies.

Dan Docherty, Ornamentals Business Manager at Syngenta ANZ stated that:

I am really excited about this new partnership with Daltons. Daltons is a perfect fit for us at Syngenta with their experienced sales team, their support of the industry and of all the industry bodies and events, and their preference to only stock and support the best products for their customers. This partnership will allow Syngenta to invest into the New Zealand Nursery market, which will result in new and innovative technologies becoming available to every Nursery in New Zealand. In turn assisting in even more sustainable, productive, and profitable management practices.

The first of these innovative solutions are available now – BARRICADE® Herbicide and ACELEPRYN® Insecticide are alternatives in weed management and insect management.

BARRICADE® Herbicide is an innovative long lasting pre-emergent weed control herbicide that can be applied across potted plants or used across nursery grounds for up to 6 months weed control. BARRICADE® binds high in the soil profile ensuring ornamental roots below the barrier are not affected and your ornamentals stay in prime condition.

ACELEPRYN® Insecticide is a brand new insect chemistry group with a unique mode-of-action providing unmatched, season long grub and caterpillar control with a single application. Get up to 6 months protection at the higher application rate against a wide range of pests such as larvae of African Black Beetle, Argentine Stem Weevil larvae, Cutworm and Webworm.

Keep an eye on Daltons and Syngenta for more information about more innovative Nursery solutions coming your way.
