Phytophthora nicotianae, P. cryptogeae, P. cactorum, P. dreschleri
Susceptible Crops:
Affects all turfgrass, Agapanthus, Azalea, Boxwood, Camellia, Dianthus, Holly, Juniper, Lavender, Lily, Liriope, Lupine, Pansy, Petunia, Rhododendron, Rose, Rosemary, Salvia, Viburnum, Vinca
Symptoms:
- Plants begin to wilt and will not recover with additional water or cooler temperatures
- The lower stem will have a dark, water-soaked lesions near the soil line
- Plants ultimately collapse
