Causal Agent:
Phytophthora nicotianae, P. capsici, P. citricola, P. parasitica, P. ramorum
Susceptible Crops:
Affects all turfgrass, Anthurium, Azalea, Calibrachoa, Hosta, Lobelia, Petunia, Rhododendron, Spathipyllum, Vinca
Symptoms:
- Irregular brown spots develop on the leaves, often starting at the leaf margin
- Dark brown lesions develop on the stem and petiole causing plants to wilt
- White, fluffy sporulation can be observed under high infections
